Biographical / Historical
Dwight W. Eggleston was born on November 3, 1915 in Fairview Village, Ohio. Eggleston worked as a Journeyman Electrician and was an amateur photographer. He lived in Miami, Florida and met and photographed Amelia Earhart when she stopped there en route for her world flight. Eggleston later married Jessalyn Cook and they had five children together: Ross, William, Margaret, Betty, and Janet. He died on March 3, 2005 in Union City, Indiana.
