Historical Information
The United States Naval Training School at Purdue University started in the early 1940s to help with the war effort during World War II. Similar training schools began on various college campuses to quickly train officers in the U.S. Navy. The school was mostly active on the Purdue University campus from 1942-1945.

Acquisition Information
Some materials were purchased by Purdue University Archives and Special Collections in 2015 and 2018. Two panoramic photographs of Company 6 were donated by Karen Pastuzyn on July 13, 2025. Others were acquired or transferred at an unknown date.
Processing Information
Materials have been rehoused into archival boxes and folders. Panoramic photographs have been flattened.
