Box 1 contains materials celebrating Leestma's NASA retirement, white papers relating to his career and space exploration, two photo books on the USS John F. Kennedy ship, Leestma's master's thesis, and cue cards, EVA Checklists, and Crew Activity Plans flown on the STS-41G mission. Box 2 contains six checklists and data books flown on the STS-41G mission, a 1967-1968 Reef Points Handbook for the US Naval Academy, Leestma's first pilot logbook, and his master of science and high school degree diplomas. Box 3 contains mission patches from Leestma's missions and flight suits, a Michigan Aviation Hall of Fame Medal, two coins, four audiocassettes, a microcassette, and nine DVDs. Box 4 contains Leestma's Naval Academy varsity letter, a flown knee-board, and a flown helmet bag used on the International Space Station. Box 5 contains two scrapbooks and Leestma's Naval Academy diploma documenting his education at the US Naval Academy including newspaper clippings, papers, and photographs.
